Sad to hear Ray Hay, RCHS counselor for many years, has died. He was a very nice man, who reached out to me when I was in highlightNode">high school, and challenged me to think about who I wanted to be. While that is still a work in progress, I think back to those meetings and his caring spirit with a big smile. There is an Irish song called "Drunken Sailor" (attached below...and no I'm not saying he was a drunken sailor) that I have always inserted a phrase..."Ray Hay and up he rises, Ray Hay and up he rises" that I am singing now, knowing his spirit is doing just that. Lastly, when in high school he had Chuck Porter and I help him pick up walnuts I think...It just occured to me, he may have thought we were nuts. smile emoticon RIP Mr. Hay.
